Pick the tool by the problem in front of you.

Closing a month belongs to the first group: a reconciliation that will not meet, a bank export to match against the ledger, a trial balance that is out. A statement PDF someone has asked for belongs to the second: it needs to be one file, smaller, unlocked, or stripped of an account number. A file an accounting product turned down belongs to the third, which reads QBO, QFX, OFX, QIF, IIF, and bank CSVs and points at the parts importers check. The last answers questions about the money itself: whether a statement adds up, whether a month is missing, what recurs, and what the account held on an average day. Each tool reads your file with your own browser, which is why none of them asks you to sign in.

Need the transactions out of a statement PDF?

That is the one job these tools stop short of. Bankflow reads statement PDFs, text or scanned, into reconciled transactions and exports them to Excel, CSV, QuickBooks, Xero, and more.

FAQ

Common questions

Are these tools really free?

Yes, with no account, trial, or limit on how often you use them. They run on your own device, so they cost nothing to serve beyond the page itself.

How can a tool work without uploading my file?

The page loads the code that reads CSV, OFX, and PDF files into your browser, and your browser does the work. The file is opened from your device and the result is saved back to it. Closing the tab clears everything.

Do the PDF tools change my statement?

Merging, splitting, and unlocking copy pages unchanged. Compressing re-encodes images, and redacting turns pages into images on purpose so hidden details are gone. Each tool says what it changed, and where a lender may want the untouched original, it says that too.

Which file formats do the tools read?

PDF for the statement tools; CSV, OFX, QBO, QFX, and QIF for the import-file and numbers tools. A bank CSV's columns are matched for you and shown before anything is read.

Can the tools convert a PDF statement to Excel or QuickBooks?

No. Reading transactions out of a PDF reliably, and checking them against the balances printed on it, is what Bankflow itself does. It includes free page credits to try it.

From statement PDF to reconciled ledger.

When the job is the transactions themselves, Bankflow reads the statements, checks every page against its balances, and exports to the tool you already use.
